I'm a food enthusiast extraordinaire! I got the chance to dive into the enchanting world of Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White, so obviously I jumped on that reservation faster than you can say "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious"! It was my little munchkin's 4th birthday, and after a magical makeover at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique (read all about that experience here) in the Magic Kingdom, we were craving some more of that special kind of enchantment to wrap up the day!
After leaving Magic Kingdom, the most convenient way to reach Story Book Dining at Artist Point in Wilderness Lodge is by taking the resort boat that will transport you directly to the dock. The journey lasts approximately 20 minutes and is quite enjoyable, but keep in mind that the boat is open, so it might feel a bit chilly when windy. Upon disembarking at the dock, you will be greeted by the intricate details of the Wilderness Lodge. Walk along the dock and enter the main building. This is an ideal opportunity to admire the details, from the totem poles to the small creek flowing through the hotel. When it comes to Disney and theming, Wilderness Lodge truly stands out as a remarkable creation by Disney.

Character dining experiences at Disney typically last about 90 minutes, and this one is no exception. In fact, it might even extend a bit longer! Nevertheless, the wait is entirely worthwhile. As soon as you enter the restaurant, you are whisked away to a magical forest where guests eagerly anticipate the characters' appearances. Let’s start with the food – just thinking about the experience is making me hungry.
Upon being seated, the hostess presents you with the menus for the prix-fixe dining experience, priced at $65 for adults and $39 for children, slightly higher than other character dinner options. Despite the cost, the quality of food and ambiance surpasses that of other venues. To start our celebration, we enjoyed some delightful cocktails, although these were not included in the set price; however, soft drinks were complimentary. The appetizers were then served, presented in a unique and impressive manner. A tiered serving dish resembling a tree showcased three delectable appetizers: wild mushroom bisque, wicked shrimp cocktail, and hunter's harvest (chicken and turkey). Each guest, including children, was offered an appetizer, with children receiving their own special dish - a charming garden plate featuring a mini clay pot filled with "chocolate dirt", cheese cubes, grapes, bread, and honey butter. The presentation was truly remarkable, earning enthusiastic approval even from a 4-year-old!

Next comes the main course. I ordered the Brother's Grimm Herb Chicken, which was moist, flavorful, and left me wanting more. My husband opted for the "Cottage" Beef Stroganoff and was thoroughly satisfied, being a hearty eater. The portion size was generous and the dish tasted fantastic. As for my picky-eater daughter, she enjoyed grilled chicken with mashed potatoes and broccolini. The meal was well-portioned, harmonious, and delicious. She finished everything on her plate. A great success!
Next up was the dessert course, which truly elevated the entire dining experience. Along with the individual bite-sized desserts served to everyone, the Miner's Treasure, Fairy Tale Gooseberry Tart, and "Poison Apple," the server presented a small box. After saying a few words, the box was opened to reveal misty dry ice and perfectly preserved chocolate hearts inside. My husband and daughter indulged in all the fine desserts and found them truly remarkable. Unfortunately, due to my chocolate allergy, I couldn't partake in them, but I was offered a delightful alternative.

Let's now discuss the character interaction at this dining experience, which exceeded expectations compared to others. Upon arrival, you are greeted by Snow White, Dopey, Grumpy, and finally the Evil Queen. Snow White was charming and engaged with my 4-year-old daughter. Dopey brought laughter and playfulness to the table, especially entertaining my daughter. Grumpy, in his grumpy demeanor, playfully covered my daughter's face during photos, creating a fun moment for all of us. Approximately every 45 minutes, the characters paused their table visits to dance around the dining room, with guests advised to remain seated during this time. They even took the time to sign autograph books. Fortunately, we had the chance to see all the characters twice during our meal, which was beneficial for capturing better pictures. As for the Evil Queen, she didn't approach the table but instead, guests were asked to wait until they finished their meal and were then called up for a photo opportunity with her against a special backdrop. This photo opportunity may require a memory maker for the best experience. The Evil Queen remained true to her character, posing with a scowl and embracing her evil persona. When she made her appearance, the restaurant was filled with eerie music, flickering lights, and a grand entrance by the Evil Queen.

This is undeniably one of the top character dining experiences at Disney World. It excels not just in character interactions and food quality, but also in the overall value it offers. If you can only choose one dining experience during your visit, I highly recommend prioritizing this one above all others.
Here are a few useful tips:
